The Indian government has the opportunity to take progressive steps on cryptocurrency, which is an emerging trend in the country.
“It was strongly felt that attempts to mislead the youth through over promising & non-transparent advertising be stopped,” ANI tweeted. “There was consensus also that the steps taken in the field of cryptocurrency & related issues by the Govt will be progressive & forward-looking.”
The Indian government is seeking advice from their Supreme Court on how to regulate cryptocurrencies like bitcoin in order to avoid fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activities that are often associated with it. The Indian Government decided after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on cryptocurrencies’ future in the country.
The Indian government should take progressive steps on cryptocurrencies. This would be good for the environment and also allow India to keep up with other emerging trends in the country.
